Social media - more social or more media?

The usage of a social media is already a must for the marketing campaign of each brand nowadays. People adore to share in front of the computer, not in front of each other. They like to use social media and it's a part of their life each day. Having in mind this, here is one of my favorite cartoons of Tom Fishburne regarding "being social":
