Take your seat with Heineken

Hi guys,

Here we are again and the reason is a campaign, which made my day - the new activation of Heineken in Italy, named "The seat".

Nowadays more than ever the communication campaigns of the brands don't have one very important thing - a spirit. They don't cross borders, don't make a change.

BUT not this one.

The activation of Heineken - "The seat", has the SPIRIT and you can see it:
  • in the original idea
  • in the interaction with the customers
  • in the game
  • in the humor - I love the man with the accordion :)
  • in the connection "football - beer - fan of both of them"
  • in the story and the way the brand presents there

In fact the words are not enough. You just have to see it!

Enjoy it!

Oh, this creativity

A lot of creative people create nothing but a complicated thing. For them more complicated means more creative. If fact the truth is on the opposite side  - making the complicated simple, that's creative.

Music is what matters. Really!

People love to judge everywhere and everybody. Even their favorite singers, actors, friends. There's always a critic all around us.

This is the motive, used by the Brazil advertising agency Filadélfia in the ad campaign they developed for 98FM radio with a headline "Music is what matters".

Black and white visuals of famous singers, illustrating their vices, but reminding, that behind them there's a whole treasure-house of their talent.

Clear message, simple visual with good expression and yes - 98FM.

Enjoy it!

BIG

It's not important to have big budget, but a BIG idea.

In this campaign for Paracet painkiller, developed by Bates United (Norway), we could see what minimalist advertising means.

Especially here there is an interesting approach and idea, but it would be better with a good provocative slogan as well, so that the whole communication to look as one thing. It's one of those ads, which are advertising the creativity of the ad agency rather than the product itself - the product is the second thing here unfortunately...But the advertising of the creativity of the agency is good :)

Being on Max

How many ads for shoes have you seen? And how many of them do you remember?

Here is the communication campaign for Max shoes and their "Sunning collection". What we have here?
  • two words: "Stunning collection"
  • fashion colorful visuals with good expression
  • the main hero are the shoes, used in a remarkable way
Bravo!

Social campaign - worth seeing

There will always be a debate about the smoking - the smokers think that their rights are damaged by the restrictions in this area and the non-smokers think the opposite. The truth is that the core case here is not the smoking itself, but the health - the one of the smokers and the one of the people around them (and even in them).

Very impressive in this field is the communication campaign, developed by Ogilvy, India for the HCG Cancer Hospital. This campaign shows the effect, which smoking has over the non-smokers, which live with the smokers and especially the children.

There are 3 visualization with the respective messages:
  • “Cigarette smoke inflames children’s air pathways and leads to asthma attacks. Put out the fire.”
  • “Pregnant smokers give birth to children who are susceptible to lung diseases. Put out the fire.”
  • “Children inhale more air than adults, absorbing more toxins. Put out the fire.”

The colors are dark, the people are looking not healthy, the visualizations are scary as the problem itself.

Enjoy this ad campaign!

The future of the print ad

They say that magazines are dead as a communication channel.

They say the future and the presence belong to the digital communication, not to the magazines.

They say there's already no place for print ad in the magazines, because they are not effective.

I say "Really?"

Look the print ads in magazines below and tell me - is there a future in the print ad?

Reading a book is modern

In the time, when there are so many screens around us, it is a rare view to see people reading books.

And here comes the communication campaign, developed by some students from the Miami Ad School, which decided to use the subway for popularizing the idea of reading books. What did they make?

They put posters with book titles and barcodes, which after their scanning lead to a 10-page preview of the respective book. After the end of the preview to readers is provided information for the location of the nearest library, where they could find the book.

It’s a brilliant social campaign with really clever use of a location, clear message, wonderful call to action, modern communication approach and style.

And here are some of the visualizations.
